In less than 2 years, Ray White Retail have assembled the largest retail leasing team of any agency in Sydney. Greater activity in the retail leasing market enhances contact relationships with multiple retailers and produces additional new enquiry leads. A bigger team also enables additional resources to be dedicated to projects as and when necessary. The owner/managers Bill Kanellopoulos and Bob Walsh have over 50 years of experience in the shopping centre industry between them and have been involved in the development of over $2 billion worth of shopping centres in Australia. Both spent a number of years within the Shopping Centre Division of Stockland, where Bob Walsh held positions of General Manger Retail Leasing, and latterly GM of the Retail Projects Division.
The Shopping Centre Management Division is headed up by Glenn Jones. Glenn has almost 20 years’ experience in the shopping centre industry and has worked for a variety of different property organisations [including Jones Lang LaSalle and Knight Frank]. Most notably, he was a senior Asset Manager for Queensland Investment Corporation overseeing the management of such major regional shopping centres as Westpoint Blacktown (thru a $400M redevelopment), and Eastland an 80,000sqm centre in Melbourne. His experience also extends to the management of a number of much smaller (and sometimes distressed) neighbourhood centres in NSW, Vic & Qld. Over the years Glenn has worked with a variety of different owners including local and overseas based investors of varying nationalities and major financial institutions.
