Weldstar Secures Biggera Factory

Waste recycling solutions and materials handling company Weldstar has secured a new base for its operations at Biggera Waters on the northern Gold Coast.

The property at 3/221 Brisbane Road, Biggera Waters, has been leased to Weldstar in a deal negotiated by Nick Baxter of Ray White Commercial Runaway Bay.

Mr Baxter said the 1090 sqm factory with offices plus 1600 sqm of adjoining hardstand is on a site owned by South Queensland Banana Ripeners.

He said Weldstar had been looking for larger premises for their operations, which includes being the only Australian manufacturer of specialist dry waste separation equipment.

“Weldstar was previously located at Molendinar but the company is rapidly expanding and was in need of a bigger facility,” he said.

“This is a large warehouse/factory with ample manufacturing space, offices and a showroom as well as adjoining hardstand and parking areas.”

Mr Baxter said the South Queensland Banana Ripeners’ site, which also includes 223 Brisbane Road, is now fully leased.

“It’s a major commercial precinct with tenants including National Tiles, MW Toolboxes, Bluescope Lysaught, Pro-2Pac, Labrador Landscape Supplies and the Banana Ripeners,” he said.

Mr Baxter said Weldstar had taken out a 3 x 3 x 3 year lease on the property.

Weldstar is believed to have leased the property at a rental rate that market sources would estimate to be more than $100,000 per annum.
