INDUSTRIAL
PROPERTIES ON THE MOVE
Two tenancies in the popular
Gold Coast commercial and industrial precinct of Molendinar have been secured for
almost $340,000 per annum in separate deals negotiated by Steve Macgregor of
Ray White Commercial Gold Coast.
Family-owned, international
removal and storage company Ashtons Removals, established more than 60 years
ago by Bob Ashton, has moved to a freehold, warehouse complex at 23 Jade Drive,
Molendinar.
Mr Macgregor said Ashtons
had formerly been based at Coomera but the company sought larger premises for
what will be their head office and only depot on the Gold Coast.
“This is one of the best
freehold properties within the business precinct of Molendinar and is an
opportunity for Ashtons to relocate their headquarters with a minimum of fuss,”
he said.
Mr Macgregor has also found
new premises in the Molendinar precinct for stone fabrication company Tuscany
Stone, which had been a tenant in the complex at 23 Jade Drive.
He said Tuscany Stone was
moving to a freestanding factory at 11 Geary Crescent, Molendinar.
“Tuscany stone were looking
to downsize their operation and at this point of time, no longer required the
area they were occupying. The deal hinged on Ashtons signing the lease to
occupy 23 Jade Drive,” he said.
Mr Macgregor said the property
located at 23 Jade Drive, Molendinar was constructed on approximately 3838 sqm of
land, while the 2153 sqm building included 239 sqm of reception and office
space which has been fitted out with marble tiles and features walls.
“There is more than ample
car parking provided with 36 spaces allocated on site as well as direct access
for trucks back into the factory warehouse,” he said. “The property is gated
and fully secure.”
Ashtons has
taken out a 3 x 3 year lease at a gross rental industry sources estimate to be
approximately $260,000 per annum, while Tuscany Stone secured a 3 x 3 year
lease for approximately $78,000 per annum.
